Interested to take part in the Run for the Wild but won’t be in Kuching on Sunday, 17th December 2017?
The good news is that you have the opportunity to contribute to the conservation of orang-utans, sharks and rays wherever you might be.
If you wish to be a Virtual Runner, click on the Registration page and fill in all the required details, signing up in the Category option: Virtual Runner.
There is no registration fee, but once you have sent verification of your run or walk, you may contribute RM30 to receive a Run for the Wild t-shirt (subject to availability). A postal charge of RM10 must be included for those in Malaysia, but postal charges for Virtual Runners overseas will be calculated and informed via email. You may contribute more than the required amount as a contribution to the conservation of Sarawak’s wildlife and their habitats.
When can you do your Virtual Run or Walk
As a Virtual runner, you can do your run or walk any time before or after the Run. Please take note that submissions for any participation in this category closes at the end of December.
How to track your Virtual Run or Walk
Download a tracking app of your choice and be sure to test it out before you actually start your run or walk. You may choose any of the three distances (2km, 5km or 10km) and there is no time limit for your run or walk.
Once you have completed your run or walk, take a screenshot or photograph of your track log. Then, email the evidence of your run or walk to Abdul Najib Azhfar Aini at email@example.com with your request for a t-shirt (subject to availability). Be sure to mention your t-shirt size. Options are in Asian sizes of XS, S, M, L and XL.
In your return email, you will be informed of the postal charges and the methods of payment.
Registration and Virtual Run Deadlines
Virtual runs can be submitted until the end of December however the t-shirt will be subject to availability.
The deadline to email the verification of your run or walk is 31st December 2017.
