Where and when can the run packs be collected?

The race pack collection will be as follows:

Please see the ‘Contact details’ tab for the full address as well as map directions. The finisher medals will ONLY be given AFTER the run on the EVENT DAY at Swinburne University of Technology, Sarawak Campus.

What will be in the run pack?

Please check your run pack during collection as any claims of missing items will not be entertained once you have left the office. Your run pack will include:

  • One event t-shirt
  • Numbered bib
  • Safety pins
  • Map of ride
  • Leaflets
  • Promotional items from sponsors (event merchandise)

Can someone else collect my run pack for me?

Yes, however the person collecting on your behalf is required to provide us with a copy of your receipt.

Can I exchange my merchandise item?

Exchanges are not allowed during and after run pack collection.

What do I do if I lose my run pack?

You are required to purchase a replacement from our office at RM 25, prior to availability.


What should I wear?

Participants are advised to wear comfortable running gear and shoes suited to running on road surfaces.

Where will toilets/first aid be located?

Toilets will only be located at the start and finish venue. A first aid box is available at the start and finish venue as well. There will also be an ambulance with trained personnel for the duration of the run.

Will there be water stations on the route?

Only one water station will be available. It will be strategically placed along the route. Participants are encouraged to bring their own water bottle as there will be a limited number of paper cups provided. 

Can I run with ipods/mp3 players?

We strongly discourage participants from using iPod and mp3 player while running. Participants who run with their ipod/mp3 MUST ensure that they are aware of their surrounding and able to receive instructions from the marshals on duty.

Can I run with my pets (cats/dogs)?

Unfortunately, no. As a safety precaution, participants are not allowed to bring or carry their pets during the entire event.

What happens if it rains on event day?

The event will proceed as planned if it is a drizzle and the roads and pavements are not slippery. Nevertheless, the organizers reserve the right to cancel the run in case of extreme weather. Please note that no refunds will be made if the event is cancelled Regardless of the weather, we encourage everyone to enjoy the other activities organized in conjunction with the event, i.e. the presentation by an invited speaker.

Will there be any time restrictions?

No, participants can complete their run/walk at their own pace, however all participants need to follow road safety rules.


Will there be any road closures in place for the event?


Where can I park my car?

Parking is available at the Swinburne University campus. Please park at the parking areas that have been assigned to participants of the run.

How old do I have to be to participate?

There is no age limit set, but runners who are below 13 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or guardian while those below 18 must obtain parental or guardian consent to join this event.

Where will the water stations be located?

It will be located at the intersection of Batu Lintang and Bamfylde Road

Will there be any cut-off time for the run?

There will be not cut-off time but the event shall officially close at 9:00 am. There are no alternative/shorter routes but if you find yourself in difficulty or are unable to finish, please inform the marshals on duty.

How many orang-utans are there in Sarawak?

The current estimated population is less than 2000.
